Who is actually behind EPS?

Today we would like to introduce you to the man without whom EPS GmbH would not exist: Dieter Belzer, managing director and owner.

In 1987, Dieter started working with microfilm as a trained precision mechanic and witnessed the birth of digitalization.

EPS was founded 25 years ago and thus the realization of a lifelong dream: “In the beginning we were at Untergasse 31 in Berstadt and sold our products from the cowshed all over the world,” says Dieter with a smile on his lips.

“We constantly developed and grew until we moved to our current location with 600 m².” EPS started with plotters and folding machines. In 2008, the first book scanner with a rocker was presented at Cebit: “At first we were laughed at until the Frauenhöfer Institute praised us for our performance and then the big breakthrough followed. Our bestseller today is the A0 format flatbed scanner and the double A0 scanner.”  

Dieter Belzer develops all of the products himself; he is the clever mind and inventor. But his son Pascal is also able to assemble every product from the first step to completion. EPS now has 10 employees and not without reason: “We do a lot for our employees. Bonding and teamwork are our top priority. We have a lot to offer, in addition to private pension insurance, there is company health insurance, we have e-bike leasing and help where we can.” Thank you very much for the interview, dear Dieter, and thank you for building such a great company!
