The founding

In 1997, EPS GmbH was founded as an ambitious company that specialized in the development, production, sales and service of digital plotting and scanning systems. The portfolio is supplemented by the creation of necessary software components, the assembly of assemblies and the customer-specific installation and adaptation of the systems, accompanied by first-class service support.

A decade of technological breakthroughs

Collaboration with global corporation HP

Dieter Belzer developed an innovative tray table for HP ink printers that improved ink fixation by 60% and prevented paper from curling after printing. Due to the large order volume, production was handed over to the Basys company in Lüneburg.

Groundbreaking new developments and market leadership

The first flatbed scanner in A0 format: Presentation of the world's first flatbed scanner in A0 format, a milestone in the industry.

The XXL version

Introduction of the XXL version for originals up to 2A0, expanding the possibilities in the large format scanning area.

Entry by Pascal Belzer

Son Pascal Belzer joins the company, an important addition to the family business.

First A1 scanning robot

At CeBIT, EPS and SMA eDocument caused a stir with the demonstration of the world's first A1 scanning robot.

With the introduction of the ROBO SCAN 2 to A0

With the ability to turn over and digitize books up to DIN A0 fully automatically, the ROBO SCAN opened up completely new possibilities in book digitization.

Award for VERSASCAN 4870

The VERSASCAN 4870 double A0 flatbed scanner was named Product of the Year in the “Large Format Scanner (Flatbed or Conveyor Scanner)” category at SGIA 2018 in Las Vegas. This prestigious award, presented by the leading association for the industrial graphics, clothing, textile, packaging and printing industries, underlines the industry's leading position.

Introduction of the “CONE” scanner line

In 2019, EPS GmbH introduced the “CONE” scanner line specifically for the Polish market, in collaboration with long-standing partner Skanowanie.

05/2022 Anniversary celebration

The 25th anniversary of EPS GmbH was celebrated at the Lich Oktoberfest with friends and business partners.

11/2022 First delivery of the An2Di scanner line - Analog to Digital

In November 2022, EPS started delivering the new An2Di scanner line. This device offers a budget-friendly solution for small and large archives by combining a variety of functionalities in a single device.

09/2023 Christian Belzer joins and reorganizes the management team

Son Christian Belzer joins the company and the management is reorganized. Dieter Belzer remains CEO, Pascal Belzer becomes Chief Operating Officer (COO) for Marketing & Sales, and Christian Belzer takes on the role of Chief Technology Officer (CTO).
